Postal code 78462: refers to the inner city. Direct bus service to the university (route 4, route 9 to University, route 9 back to town).

Postal code 78464: large area outside the centre, those parts near the ferry terminal (Staad) are within a reasonable walking distance from the university (max. 30 minutes, nice walk). Good bus connection to the city going to the university is somewhat less convenient (bus route 4).

Postal code 78465: northwest of the university, far outside the city. The area consists of former separate villages that were incorporated into Konstanz. Some nice places by the lake. Direct bus service to the university (bus route 4).

Postal code 78467: large area outside the city centre. Those parts near the Rhine may be within reach of bus route 9, route 9 back to town, the outer parts (esp. Wollmatingen) are connected to the university by route 11, route 11 back to Wollmatingen.

The motel "Arena" is in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland, but never mind: it is close to the border and to the centre of Konstanz. Konstanz main station (bus stop route 9 to University, route 9 back to town) is within walking distance.
