How to reach Konstanz (by plane)

The nearest airports are Zürich (Switzerland) and Stuttgart. (You can also reach Konstanz via Frankfurt and Munich, although this is less convenient). Lufthansa flys daily from Frankfurt to Friedrichshafen, a small local airport on the north shore of Lake Konstanz. There are also flights (Tuesdays to Fridays) from Munich to Friedrichshafen. (If you plan to arrive via Friedrichshafen, do not hesitate to contact us for further information.)


From Zürich you can easily reach Konstanz by train. The train station at Zürich airport is in the basement of the terminal. The journey takes about one hour with one change in Weinfelden, for travel information see Swiss Railway. Your destination in Konstanz is not "Hauptbahnhof" but "Schweizerbahnhof" (Swiss station), which is located 10 meters near the main station.


From the airport in Stuttgart you take a local train (S-Bahn) to Stuttgart central station and from there a train to Konstanz. With just one change the journey takes about two-and-a-half hours. For travel information see Deutsche Bahn.

Warming up.

The warming up (19.00, with registration) will be in Hafenhalle. Hafenhalle is located behind the main station and the railway: Leaving the main station, you either turn left, walk 50 meters, turn left again, cross the railway, turn left again, walk 50 meters and see Hafanhalle left; or leaving the main station you turn right, walk 100 meters, turn cross under the railway, turn right again at the harbor, walk 50 meters, see Hafenhalle right.

How to reach the University.

The Universität Konstanz is a campus university: you have to take the bus (or the car).




Line 4 (we strongly recommend this line):
Taking the Line 4 bus, you will reach the University within a five minutes walk from the bus stop "`Egg / Universität"'.

Line 9A / B (Friday):
The Line 9 bus stops just in front of the University. (On Saturdays it only starts from Zähringerplatz, where you can get with each of the lines 2, 3, 12, 14. There's no Line 9 service at all on public holiday.)

The Line 11 bus takes you from Wollmatingen to the University, but only on Workdays.
